Industrial Instrumentation Technician Apprenticeship Opportunities

Job Description

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Working Conditions

Electricians may be required to work at great heights, such as when working on construction sites, inside buildings, or on renewable energy projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 17 years of age to apply and may not be registered until they are at least 18 years of age, a high school graduate or have obtained the equivalent GED certificate. Must  have completed one year of high school algebra, integrated math 2, or equivalent post-high school algebra course(s) with a grade of C or better, or submit equivalent math placement test scores.  A GED math score, obtained during or after 2014, of 150 is considered an equivalent.
